About K/K Flute
Kalliopi Katsiris is a master's canidate at the University of Michigan majoring in Flute Performance and Chamber Music. In the first year of her master's at the University of Michigan, Kalliopi won Second Prize in the Darlene Dugan Great Lakes Young Artist Competition. Kalliopi has performed in many masterclasses for orchestral flutists and professors including Grammy Award Winning Molly Barth and Chicago Symphony's Jennifer Gunn. During her undergraduate degree, Kalliopi toured Europe, playing concerts in London, Paris, and Amsterdam. She was a featured soloist in the Iowa State Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and Iowa State Symphony Orchestra. In addition to performing and studying at the University of Michigan, Kalliopi enjoys teaching as the flute instructor at Dexter's Musician’s Edge and for the University of Michigan's Youth Symphony Orchestra and Symphony Band. Her main teachers include Amy Porter and Dr. Sonja Giles.
